Eating should be simple.

Yet, I grew up surrounded by super sized meals and binge watching Next Top Model. WW taught me to assign points to food from a very young age. Remember those awful slim fast commercials?

By the time I was making independent food choices my head was loaded with toxic messaging. All designed to make me hate my body, keep me buying food products, and self-help diet programs.

Seasonal eating and home cooking completely changed the tape in my brain.

I no longer approach food from a place of shame. Instead I use my food choices to increase my resilience and regulate my nerves.

We were made to eat in connection with one another and the land. But it’s been so long we need supportive guidance to get back to these habits.

That’s why I’m offering 1:1 seasonal tutoring on home cooking.

 

Books open on a rolling basis. We may start our time together at the start of a natural season, or a personal season that bridges a transition.

 
 
 
  • To get in sync with each other, and lay a solid foundation for the program, we will talk once a week for the first three weeks.

    In weeks 2 and 3, you will receive your first set of Kitchen Notes.

  • In week four we will have our first private cooking class.

  • In this section, we switch to an every other week call schedule. This is to foster sustainability in your cooking practice.

    In weeks 5 and 7 you will receive detailed Kitchen Notes to inspire your cooking.

  • In week 8 we will have our second cooking class.

  • Remember to utilize our private messaging channel during our off weeks!

    In weeks 9 and 11 you will receive additional Kitchen Notes to inspire your cooking.

  • Our final private cooking class.

  • 6 Live Coaching Conversations

    Curiosity and joy based conversations about what to eat and how to plan.

    This is a container of time to process, find clarity, and get support in strategizing.

  • Tailored Kitchen Notes

    These notes will include resources for engaging with your food beyond conversations with me.

    Over the course of the program, you will receive 6 chapters filled with my thoughts, prompts, and recipes.

    At the conclusion of the program, a printed and bound copy will be mailed to you as a lasting memento for your kitchen.

  • 3 *Private Cooking Classes

    Topics will be co-created. You will be provided a supplies list and outline ahead of time.

    Classes can be 2-4 hours long depending on the complexity of the meal or skill that we are practicing.

    *Kids and partners welcome but discouraged.

    This is your time.

  • Private Asynchronous Video & Voice Messaging

    Show me your wins and ask for help through private audio or video messaging.

    Not hosted on social media. This is continued support on your time.

    • I can help you unpack the way food and gender socialization have influenced your diet. My studies have mainly focused on female experiences, but I am open to working with men as well as folks outside the gender binary.

    • My job is to bring you home to your food story. If we look different, or sound different, I am open to working with you.

  • Those that live with a restrictive diet and/or a chronic health condition!

    • I can help you make systems that work for your body. Both of my parents have disabilities and loving them has taught me so much about how inaccessible most of our world can be. If we function differently, I am open to working with you.
